Jeff Benegar

I braved the torrential downpours to meet with Jeff Bennegar: a photographer who captures some really interesting artistic series as well as working on commercial shoots.  I was sitting for a series called “I Want To Be There When Someone Breaks Your Heart” – all tightly cropped black and white portraits of women.  He wanted it to be natural and real, so I wasn’t wearing any makeup.  And then I got caught in the downpour so I was also soaking wet and rocking the drowned-rat look. Best way to start a portrait sitting, right?  Several other friends were there as well- all referred through Alinca Hamilton - and it really made the atmosphere relaxed and comfortable.  We had a great time and the images he produced are really stunning. Check out the whole series!

You can also find them in the "Print" gallery on this site.
