Sleeper - a new play

Coming soon to a theater near you! (provided your live in New York City)

Three years ago, as a senior at F&M, I dedicated my time to a staged reading of a play - a little production called "Sleeper" by Stephanie Bramson.  We banded together to put up the reading for a few nights in a little black box theater called "The Other Room" - couches for audience seating, limited lights and sound, and a bunch of determination.  The reading was a success and we recieved compliments as well as notes to make the developmental script even better.

Fast forward to three weeks ago and I get a call from that same playwright - now a senior - with a proposition.  Would I be interested in revisiting the role?  Of course! As we explored the possibilities of the Manhattan Repertory Spring Playfest it became clear we were going to need a bigger boat.  So I stepped up and called on some amazing friends and colleagues to produce what will be the first full staging of Sleeper. So exciting!

We have assembled an incredible team: Leal Vona is directing. Rocco Chierichella is playing Adam. Kat Funkhouser is assembling sound cues and sketching sets. Luis Enrique is shooting production photos.... we are putting on one incredible show and you won't want to miss it!

What happens when a desperate hitchhiker catches a ride with a tough lady trucker on the run? How can a man who has never left home connect with a woman who has never been back?

Come out and find out! Don't miss the Ride! More information available at SLEEPERtheplay.com
