Christina Roman with her Scythe in BohemiaI spent the month of September working on a farm in Southern Bohemia in the Czech Republic: I lived in the back of a van, dug my fair share of ditches, and learned how to use a scthe and build a haystack. From there I made my way east and south through Slovakia and the Baltic states. At the end of the month I can officially add "scything" to my special skills - if only it came up more often!
